SUMMARY:Maxx Cabello Jr. Band "Bday Party"

This amazing guitarist\, soulful vocalist\, and prolific songwriter\, hails from the streets of the San Francisco Bay area where he is turning heads and bending the ears of the most jaded veteran musicians and music aficionados. Straight out of the South Bay\, this quiet-spoken\, polite college student turns into a powerful and captivating artist when he begins to play the guitar. SUMMARY:Delgado Brothers with Special Guest Chris Cain
DESCRIPTION:Propelled by their 2016 International Blues Competition win in Memphis\, Tennessee\, driven by fierce independence\, unified by family and fortified by the brotherhood of music\, the Delgado Brothers deliver the musical goods; topical anthem-worthy songs complemented by call-to-action lyrics\, soul stirring blues rock guitar solos and Latin-flavored percussion. \nThe Delgado Brothers—eldest brother Bob Delgado on bass\, middle brother Joey on guitar and vocals\, younger brother Steve on drums and vocals\, David “B” Kelley on Hammond B3 and Victor Bisetti on congas and timbales—have longtime been referred to as Los Angeles’ best kept secret. \n \nEach member of the band brings a unique style of musicianship to the Delgado Brothers brand. Indiana-bred Kelley came West in search of “groove and diversity.” An incredibly gifted musician\, David’s playing on his vintage 1972 Hammond B3 adds tone\, texture and depth to the sound. High-energy percussionist Victor Bisetti\, with his ebullient beats and Latin conga rhythms\, packs each song with vitality and panache. To witness a Delgado Brothers live performance is to testify to the synergy\, emotion\, work ethic and true musicianship of the band. \nThe band’s fifth studio album\, Two Trains\, contains 11 originals that Blues Blast Magazine call “…smartly crafted songs of love\, social awareness and tolerance\, all sung with deep emotional commitment…” They veer into a realm reminiscent of the classic rock of the Doobie Brothers and The Eagles while remaining true to the blues. \nChris Cain\nChris Cain offers up a soulful stew of Memphis style electric blues. His powerfully deep vocals and jazz inspired\, blues guitar riffs are unforgettable; uniquely his own\, while reminiscent of the legendary BB King and Albert King.\n\n \nCain recalls\, “I remember when I was a kid\, my dad would be mowing the lawn with the stereo blasting Muddy Waters. When I look back\, that was pretty cool! There was always music playing at our house\, Ray Charles\, B.B. King\, Freddie King\, Albert King\, all the greats.” \nAt the age of eight\, Cain taught himself to play guitar and began playing professionally before he was eighteen. Chris studied music at San Jose City College and was soon teaching jazz improvisation on campus. Over the next twenty years\, Cain would also master piano\, bass guitar\, clarinet\, alto and tenor saxophone. The combination of his blues upbringing and his jazz studies melded to form the searing guitar style that sets Chris Cain apart and has moved him to the top ranks of the blues music scene. \nFestival Tickets\nAdvance Ticket Prices: General Admission $25 VIP $85\nDay of: General Admission $30 VIP $100 \n\n\n\n\n\nEarly Bird 2 Pack – General Admission: $40. SUMMARY:John Németh & The Blues Dreamers
DESCRIPTION:John Németh‘s musical journey began in the muddy potato fields of Idaho in the early ’90s\, where he initially found solace in the hard-edged sounds of hip-hop and rock. However\, a pivotal moment occurred when a friend introduced him to the classic blues album “Hoodoo Man Blues” by Junior Wells and Buddy Guy\, igniting his passion for the genre. From then on\, Németh immersed himself in the local music scene\, honing his skills on the harmonica and vocals while opening for nationally touring blues acts. \n \nIn 2004\, Németh made the move to San Francisco\, where he had the opportunity to fill in for the ailing Sam Myers in Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets. This experience exposed him to the soulful sounds of the Bay Area\, shaping his musical style with what he terms “the early East Bay Grease sound.” \nUnder the Blind Pig label\, Németh released two acclaimed albums\, “Love Me Tonight” (2009) and “Name The Day” (2010)\, both of which reached #6 on the Billboard Blues Chart. These successes marked the beginning of his impressive string of Blues Music Award nominations\, totaling 20 to date. Additionally\, he secured two Blues Blast Music Awards for Best New Artist Debut Recording and the Sean Costello Rising Star Award. Independent releases followed in 2012 with “Blues Live” and “Soul Live.” \nIn 2013\, Németh relocated to Memphis\, where he delved into the soulful roots of the city\, resulting in the album “Memphis Grease” (2014 Blue Corn)\, a homage to soul classics that debuted at #4 on the Billboard Blues Chart. His efforts earned him the 2014 BMA for Best Soul Blues Male Artist\, and his album won Best Soul Blues Album in 2015. \nBreaking barriers of style and genre\, Németh released “Feelin’ Freaky” in 2017 on his own Memphis Grease label\, showcasing original songs that drew from a diverse range of influences. Returning to Electraphonic in 2019 with his band The Blue Dreamers\, he delivered “Stronger Than Strong\,” his 10th album\, seamlessly blending retro and modern blues and soul. \nFestival Tickets\nAdvance Ticket Prices: General Admission $25 VIP $85\nDay of: General Admission $30 VIP $100 \n\n\n\n\n\nEarly Bird 2 Pack – General Admission: $40. SUMMARY:Terrie Odabi
DESCRIPTION:It has been proclaimed that Terrie Odabi is nothing short of West Coast Blues Royalty. It has been written that she is “easily the most dynamic blues and soul woman to have emerged in the Bay Area since Etta James came out of San Francisco’s Fillmore District in the ’50s.” Only a singer with Odabi’s combination of power and finesse could hold her own amid those kinds of comparisons. What sets Odabi apart from so many of her peers are the different shades of hurt\, longing\, bliss\, and depth she brings to the music. The distinguishable character of her voice rings out with a rousing revival of faith and reverence that has a drenching rejuvenation and sacred renascence complexity. Her abundant soul and improvisational prowess has made her a crucial contributor to today’s Blues scene. Warmly embraced by Blues fans and peers alike\, Terrie Odabi is one of the most respected talents in the Blues genre. \n \n“Terrie Odabi is easily the most dynamic blues and soul woman to have emerged in the Bay Area since Etta James came out of San Francisco’s Fillmore District in the Fifties. SUMMARY:We're BluesChasers
DESCRIPTION:Originally called “Mr. Cool & BluesChasers”\, they began their journey in Merida\, Venezuela on January 2003\, playing local venues. Later on\, same year\, with the preamble of the civil upheaval against the totalitarian regime and corrupted government\, they hunkered down and dedicated themselves to incorporating the music of Howlin’ Wolf\, SRV\, Blues Breakers and the Allman Brothers into their style. After the “smoke” cleared\, the band again began playing music halls\, jazz and blues festivals\, touring across Venezuela. However\, things got worse in the Caribbean country and Abi and his children eventually sought political asylum here in San Jose in 2015. \n \nAbi and his middle son Alfredo (Bass) launched the BluesChasers again a few years later calling them “We’re BluesChasers\,” and recruited friend Dave Warren (SJSU Class of ’22) to play guitar and sing. All started to work out pretty cool for them\, when suddenly… Covid. Back to the cave. Jeez!. Fast forward to 2023: A few personal changes later and friends Ted and James were invited to unite the current line-up. Abi and Ted are faculty/staff (and James is an outstanding Graduate student) from the San Jose State music program\, with all members claiming Alumni of the university. Together with well over 100 years of gigging and writing experience\, they have combined their expertise to create a repertoire and write original music to share with their audience. \nThe Band: \nDavid Warren – Guitar\, Vocals\,\nAbi Romero – Organ\, Piano\, Harmonica\, Vocals\nTed Kamp – Drums\, Vocals\nJames Conelly – Bass \nThe Fountain Blues Foundation Stage is located between First and Central. \nMay 18th \n\nLauren Halliwell & The Dirty Sound\, 11-1:30\nAnthony Arya Band\, 2-3:30\nBob Gonzalez Band\, 4 – 6\n\nMay 19th \n\nRJae Haas Band\, 11- 1:00\nPearl Alley Band\, 1:30 – 3:30\nWe’re Blueschasers\, 4 – 5\n\nBoogie Music Festival \nChosen as one of the South Bay’s Best Music Festivals by Silicon Valley Metro Readers for multiple years running\, Campbell’s Boogie Music Festival draws a staggering 50\,000 to 60\,000 attendees from across the Bay Area.
