39th San Jose Fountain Blues & Blues Festival
Silicon Valley’s longest running music festival, San Jose Fountain Blues & Brews Festival, returns to downtown San Jose’s Plaza de Cesar Chavez with award-winning talent to celebrate its 39th festival.
In addition to main stage artists, SJZ Boombox Truck will feature young, local bands between main stage acts. Enjoy the blues, R&B and soul traditions interpreted with a unique, modern twist.
Savor a large variety of regional craft beers, ciders and wine, plus the best in local BBQ, New Orleans by Poor House Bistro, Ribs N' Things BBQ, Nita Bee’s Tastys, and other Southern-style foods. Take in an artist vendor zone and family-friendly activities and games.
The San Jose Fountain Blues & Brews Festival, supported in part by a Cultural Affairs grant from the City of San José and produced by the Fountain Blues Foundation, provides a one-of-a-kind, laidback atmosphere that is perfect for all types of music fans – even the kids – 12 and under get in free with a paid adult.

39th Year of San Jose Fountain Blues & Brews Festival. Silicon Valley’s longest running music festival returns to downtown San Jose’s Plaza de Cesar Chavez, Saturday, June 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with award-winning talent to celebrate its 39th year.
Craft Beers, Wines and Ciders. In addition to world-class blues, gospel, soul, R&B and rock music, there will be varieties of regional craft beers, ciders and wine, plus the best in local barbecue, New Orleans and other southern-style foods, an artist vendor zone and interactive family-friendly activities area.

Who's hungry? Bring your appetite to this year's festival: Poor House Bistro with the best hot po' boys (BBQ chicken; Cochon De Lait Pulled Pork; Roasted Beef; Cajun Seafood); plus classic and veggie Muffaletta sandwiches and more! Nita Bee's Tastys down home desserts serving up homemade cobblers, sweet potato and pecan pies; bread pudding and salmon served up soul food style since 1955.
Rib's n' Things will be serving up BBQ pork, chicken, trip tip and more; Wonks Street Tacos with authentic Mexican street food; and Thai Street Food featuring a variety of grilled kabobs, BBQ honey chicken and pork, plus authentic Thai tacos, including veggie options.
And for an added boost - the mobile ZoomCaffe will be pouring locally roasted artisan coffee options, including espresso, cold drip, frappe, plus hot and cold brew teas, smoothies and pastries.
A vendor fair will feature a range of items from jewelry, hats, t-shirts, music and more.

Ticket Sales. Advance general admission tickets are $20, get two for $25 (limited availability).

- No Covid-19 restrictions in place at this time, but subject to change if required by governmental authorities.
- All ticket holders will need to get their tickets scanned to obtain a wristband and have bags checked by security before entering the festival.
- There will be “in and out” privileges with all bags rechecked.
- No pets, weapons, and sharp objects.
- No outside food and beverages.
- Service dogs with proper identification are permitted.
- Children 12 and under are free with paid adult
- Low back, beach style chairs and blankets okay.
- VIP ticket holders will have a padded folding chair/seat in the shade provided by the festival (these are GA and not reserved).
SJZ Boombox Truck
In addition to the main stage artists, the SJZ Boombox Truck will feature young, local bands, such as Frunkyman, Rose Madsen and Noah & The Arkiteks, between main-stage acts. They represent multiple genres incorporating the blues, R&B and soul traditions, but interpreted with a unique, modern twist.
