Discovered at just 16 by Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, British blues-rock powerhouse Joanne Shaw Taylor has built a career defined by jaw-dropping guitar work, soulful vocals, and electrifying live performances. Stewart immediately recognized her rare talent and invited her to tour with his supergroup D.U.P., launching a trajectory that would see Taylor become one of the most respected guitarists in modern blues and rock.
A fierce and expressive player, Taylor has earned praise from legends including Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Cliff, Joe Bonamassa, and Annie Lennox—an endorsement that speaks volumes about her blistering guitar prowess and musical depth.
Her debut album White Sugar (2009) introduced audiences to a stunning new voice in blues-rock, pairing fiery guitar leads with heartfelt songwriting.
