Ronnie Baker Brooks
June 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
About the Artist
Chicago’s Ronnie Baker Brooks doesn’t just play the blues — he lives it. Born into blues royalty as the son of Hall of Famer Lonnie Brooks, Ronnie grew up learning directly from legends: B.B. King, Albert Collins, Willie Dixon, and Koko Taylor. That lineage runs deep, but make no mistake — Ronnie Baker Brooks is entirely his own force.
His latest album, Blues In My DNA on Alligator Records, swept the 2025 Blues Music Awards, taking home Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year, Contemporary Blues Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Blues Music Magazine calls him “one of today’s top live performers,” and Chicago’s WGN-TV declared him “one of the most electrifying blues guitarists in the world.” AllMusic simply calls him “a monster guitarist.”
On stage, Ronnie is a revelation — a firecracker blend of Chicago blues, rock, funk, and soul, delivered with the kind of raw, joyful energy that makes crowds forget they have feet. He has headlined the Chicago Blues Festival four times, performed at Obama’s presidential inaugurations, and rocked stages from New Orleans Jazz Fest to festivals across Europe and beyond.
Now he’s bringing that unstoppable energy to San Jose.
If you’ve never seen Ronnie Baker Brooks live, this is your moment. If you have — you already know you need to be there.
